Memorial and honor Donations

Donations made in honor of or in memory of a particular person, group of people, or event is a great way to support individuals with developmental disabilities while creating recognition or lasting memories for the people or event.

Honor and memorial donations appear in print and electronically in our quarterly issues of Patterns magazine. Our offices will send you a personal thank you letter for your tax records and the individual being honored or the family of the person being remembered will also receive a letter, notifying them that a gift has been made in their name.

Families can request pre-addressed donation envelopes to place at family functions such as weddings and wakes, so guests may send donations in honor or memory of that family member.

In addition, Arc of Onondaga will be happy to provide place cards for couples getting married, in place of traditional favors. Many couples are discovering how rewarding it is to let guests know that a donation has been made in their name to support programs for people with developmental disabilities, as a party or wedding favor.
