Program Development

Arc’s Program Development department assesses the needs of our consumers and the community and develops initiatives in response. The department also prepares applications and proposals for NYS CARES, OPTS, and federal, state and private grant opportunities to fund the various initiatives.

Currently under development:

• Visual and performing arts day habilitation program
• CONNECT, an inclusive activity and resource center for persons with autism and their families.
• An inclusive retirement program for senior citizens
• Four NYS CARES residences for 3 to 5 residents
• A home for four medically fragile and aging residents
• A respite home for three individuals
• A Life Skills curriculum for Syracuse City School District high school students.
