The role that you play as a DSP in the lives of the people that our agency supports is multifaceted and vital. As one of your colleagues put it “You are everything to them.”  In recognition of all you do, please accept our heartfelt gratitude. The work you do makes a difference every single day.

As we begin our advocacy campaign to appeal to New York State’s leadership to increase funding for our agency and chapters across the state, we are writing to you directly for the very first time to ask for your support and involvement.  It’s time to unite our voices and ask them to “Invest in Us,” cover the true cost of care, and diminish the staff shortages caused by lack of funding for our field. Who better to advocate for the people we support and your fellow DSPs than you, their constant advocate?
